Assignment Overview:

 

MarinHealth Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Nurse to support its trauma program. This is a full-remote position requiring availability during normal business hours .

  • Position: Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Nurse
  • Start Date (Tentative): November 10, 2025
  • Duration: 13 Weeks
  • Shift Information: Full Remote (Normal business hours availability required)
  • Guaranteed Hours: Not specified, but assume full-time schedule based on "normal business hours" for PI role.
  • Call Off Policy: The facility has the right to utilize up to 36 hours of call off at no cost during the course of the assignment.
Role and Responsibilities:

 

The Trauma PI Nurse is responsible for supporting the trauma program through focused quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. This role involves data collection, analysis, review of trauma cases, and the development of strategies to enhance patient outcomes within the trauma service line, all performed remotely.

Minimum Qualifications & Certifications:
  • Education: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or higher is required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of recent Emergency, Critical Care, or Trauma nursing experience is required .
    • Minimum of 1 year of dedicated Performance Improvement (PI) experience is preferred but not required.
  • Licensure: Current, active, and valid California RN License is required .
  • Required Certifications:
    • BLS/BCLS
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) is required.
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) is preferred but not required.

  • License Status: Must have an active California license upon submission.
  • Start Date Compliance: Candidates submitted with requested start dates more than 2 weeks after the tentative start date (11/10/2025) will be automatically declined.
