To guide us on this journey, we are seeking passionate, experienced business and nonprofit leaders to join our Board of Directors and help shape the future. This is a strategic governance and leadership role for individuals who believe in the power of education to transform lives and are committed to using their skills, experience, and networks to make a meaningful impact. Be an active, engaged presence in board discussions and decision-making. Energy & Passion: Bring a proactive spirit, collaborative mindset, and deep commitment to equity in education. REQUIREMENTS Mission-Driven: You are genuinely inspired by our vision of a world where every child has access to quality primary education, which invigorates and excites everyone with whom you share it. Impact-Oriented: Youve worked across geographic and business lines and affected and coordinated impact. You believe in education as a force for generational change and are driven to contribute to global equity and opportunity. Leadership Experience: You have senior- or executive-level experience in business, nonprofit, or relevant sectors (e.g., finance, legal, marketing, development, governance) with a proven track record of guiding organizations through growth and transformation. Time & Travel Commitment: You have a willingness to dedicate a minimum of 4 hours/month to board activities and fundraising efforts. Available for quarterly board meetings (virtual and in-person), annual strategic retreats, and key events. Ability to travel to New York City or San Francisco at least twice per year for board meetings. Ability to attend at least one in-person annual board strategy retreat. Integrity & Accountability: You have demonstrated ethical leadership, transparency, and a commitment to acting in the best interest of the organization. Collaborative & Strategic Thinking: You are a thoughtful contributor who works well in diverse teams and brings energy, curiosity, and a bias toward action. No Conflicts of Interest: Must disclose any potential conflicts and act solely in the best interest of the organization. Give/Get: Minimum $10,000 a year (typically structured as a monthly give) No 'get', but support from the Board is critical to the success of fundraising efforts as we leverage network effects (mutual connections, critical mass of relationships at certain firms or foundations etc.) Ee believe in the power of diversity and inclusion. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and experiences to apply. We believe that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves access to quality education. We work tirelessly to find and fund schools in the most underserved communities around the world, empowering children to reach their full potential.
