\nRegistered Nurse - PCU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work in a mixed acuity PCU/MedSurg unit with 1:5 patient ratios
\n• Choose between 3x12 or 4x12 shift schedules
\n• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12s or 48 hours for 4x12s
\n• Work every other weekend with 6 weekend shifts per contract
\n• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
\n• 18 months of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
\n• Required certifications: ACLS and BCLS; NIH preferred
\n• Must be comfortable floating within hospital or to affiliate hospitals
\n• Dress code: black bottoms and red top
\n• Use Cerner charting system
\n• 36-hour orientation period
\n• Must complete 4-6 hours of non-billable pre-start modules
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients with CV surgery, thoracic surgery, cardiology, endocrine, and oncology diagnoses
\n• Manage dysrhythmias, post-cardiac surgery patients, arterial lines, central lines, and PICC lines
\n• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
\n• Experience with blood product administration, telemetry monitoring, and ventilated patients preferred
\n• Previous charge experience preferred
\n• All private rooms equipped with overhead lifts and telemetry
\n• Must obtain Indiana, compact, or temporary license prior to start date
\n• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position
\n• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

\nThis short-term acute care hospital is a 210-bed facility that provides comprehensive cardiovascular and thoracic surgical services. The facility specializes in complex cardiac procedures including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS surgeries, maintaining a mixed acuity unit that serves progressive care and medical-surgical patients. The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams, ensuring high-quality patient care across all units.
