Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for weekend night shifts, requiring a CA RN license and expertise in advanced neonatal care.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a Level III NICU unit within a hospital setting
• Weekend night shifts only: Friday through Sunday, 19:00 to 07:30
• Float required to PICU and CTICU based on census
• Patient care includes phototherapy, tube feeding/gavage, blood product administration, and advanced neonatal interventions
• Uses Epic EMR for documentation
• No on-call duties required
• Primary responsibilities include comprehensive neonatal care for critically ill infants and support procedures such as tube feeding, line management, and respiratory support
• EPIC charting training will be provided pre-start (approx. 8 hours)
• Maximum of 5 days of pre-approved time off allowed; no time off on Black Friday or December 21-23
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have more than 2 years of NICU experience
• Locals are accepted at a different pay rate if residing within 50 miles
• Modules must be completed prior to start and require proof of completion

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active CA RN license in hand required
• Current BLS and Advanced NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years NICU experience
• Experience with NICU Level III procedures and technology
• Familiarity with phototherapy, blood product administration, PICC and peripheral line management, anti-seizure medications, caffeine and vasopressor administration, neonatal abstinence, phlebotomy, CPAP, HFNC, and ventilators
• No previous permanent employment with the hospital
• No Nursys disciplinary history
• Reference from a supervisor within the past 2 years required
