THE ROLE:
Join AMD as a Product Applications Engineer (PAE) and play a key role in supporting our cutting-edge AI Engine solutions. This role involves providing deep technical expertise across digital signal processing (DSP), development tools, architecture, and intellectual property (IP) for our FPGA, SoC, and ACAP platforms.
As a PAE, you'll collaborate with customers, field engineers, technical marketing teams, and design engineers around the globe to troubleshoot complex issues and drive successful product adoption. Your insights will help customers bring their designs to life while also influencing the future of AMD's AI and DSP technologies.

THE PERSON:
As a PAE you will deliver embedded application support to our growing customer base for the next generation of products AMD is producing. In this high visibility position, your expertise will be necessary to define application products, develop solutions, assess root causes, and produce solution resolutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct support to customers on critical design issues with a focus on DSP, and AIE design flows.
Collaborate with cross functional team members to identify customer problems and propose appropriate solutions
Advise customers on design techniques and the implementation of alternative solutions
Develop tactical projects to explain or demonstrate product features.
Generate self-support materials including application notes, reference designs, and answer records
Analyze customer cases and use data to influence product improvements.
Identify gaps in products, provide test cases and work with engineering to resolve problems
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Industry experience with DSP based architecture definition, design, or support is a plus
Knowledge of EDA tools for DSP designs, Matlab, Simulink experience a plus
Building, debugging, and deploying AI systems a plus
Able to design, test, and deploy new artificial intelligence functionalities
Understanding of Vivado and Vitis is a plus
Embedded processor knowledge is a plus
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Ability to communicate technical information in an organized and understandable fashion
Customer oriented approachwith a demonstrated concern and desire to work with and assist customers
Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and track many activities
Willingness to learn, research, and engage in areas where applicant is not already well versed
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor ' s or M aster ' s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related equivalent
