Job Title: Senior Orthopedic Patient Mobilization Specialist

Location: Rochester General Hospital

Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule: Day/Evening (Earliest start time 8am, latest end time 8pm)

SUMMARY:

The Senior Orthopedic Patient Mobilization Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing patient recovery by assisting in mobility and positioning. This position is vital in ensuring patients regain their independence with proper guidance and support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist patients with basic mobility tasks such as standing, sitting, and performing simple exercises.
• Ensure proper mobilization techniques and utilization of equipment for patient safety.
• Educate patients and their families about mobility goals and therapy procedures.
• Document patient care and mobility progress in the Electronic Medical Record as required.
• Support patients with toileting and positioning as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with the medical team regarding patient status.
• Provide assistance with Patient Care Tech duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have at least one year of direct patient care experience in a healthcare setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently. Frequent walking, standing, or squatting is required.
