Job Description

This position oversees a team of marketing professionals, ensuring that deliverables are consistent with brand, strategy and objectives. Develops marketing strategies to solve short and long-term business challenges. Cultivates relationships with internal business stakeholders and external agency partners, along with providing agency direction and oversight of deliverables. Provides project management expertise that ensures successful delivery of programs on deadline, budget and with desired results. Serves as a steward and ambassador of The General with expertise in multichannel marketing.

What You'll Do

  • Supports Director of Marketing in providing work direction and leadership to teammates which includes, but not limited to, day-to-day guidance on workflows, prioritization, feedback and coaching on deliverables to ensure achievement of business outcomes.
  • Oversees the ad production process including brief creation, concept creation, ad testing, vendor selection, onsite production, and postproduction.
  • Coordinates with media team and agency partners to develop and execute brand activations
  • Assists in review and approval of creative assets with internal teams, agency partners, and executive leadership.
  • Oversees brand health tracking and manages research partner relationship
  • Manages communication and coordination with brand ambassador team
  • Builds, understands and analyzes key performance indicators of marketing campaigns, leveraging data and insight to make informed decisions regarding new or changes in strategy or direction.
  • Assists in communicating, and implementing departmental plans, objectives, and strategies.
  • Actively contributes as a member of the marketing leadership team.
  • Creates a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and fostering trust, transparency, and inclusion.
  • Works with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support on-going development.
  • Leads with influence and expertise.
  • Communicates and supports organization mission, vision, values, policies, and practices.

Additionally, you will

  • Identifies, researches, evaluates and recommends new marketing opportunities in support of business objectives.
  • Works closely with compliance and legal partners in understanding legal regulations that affect communication, media and marketing.
  • Maintains an awareness of current and future market trends by attending workshops, seminars, etc. Remains current on existing, new or changed products, programs and services. Recommends modifications to existing policies and procedures to contribute to overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness of marketing.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

What it Takes

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
  • M inimum 7 years related work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading people and projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with ad production.
  • Demonstrated experience in ad testing, brand research, and related analytics.
  • Strong planning, project management and organization skills. Ability to flex between strategic planning, project management and execution of deliverables.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences, including executives.
