Department: Executive Office and Communications

Report to: Director, Marketing and Communications

Compensation: $70,500 - $80,600

FLSA: Exempt

LOCATION/HOURS

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our New York City office location. The Senior Manager will be expected to work in office 2-3 days per week and to staff program events as required, with the understanding that government and public health guidelines will help determine the extent to which it is safe to carry out in-person and onsite activities.

ABOUT SEO MARCOMMS

The Marketing & Communications (MarComms) team is a highly collaborative and client-focused shared services function responsible for translating the organization's 60+ years of impact into compelling marketing narratives.

We are in search of a strong marketing generalist to align SEO branding across all programs, drive student enrollment, elevate the profile, and ultimately elevate the profile and attract and engage pre-professionals seeking career opportunities in the corporate sector.

The Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications is a dynamic role blending marketing strategy and execution. In this role, you will partner with the SEO Career team and other programs as assigned to develop cohesive marketing and communications plans designed to increase engagement for SEO participants, funders, and alumni. The Senior Manager's responsibilities include:

Creative Strategy and Execution

  • Partner with program teams to drive the strategic process of concepting creative marketing campaigns that achieve program goals for recruitment and events.
  • Oversee the creation and design of collateral materials to support program needs.
  • Coordinate digital campaigns, video production, graphic design, photography, copywriting, and social media efforts, ensuring alignment of messages across various media channels.
  • Stay informed of market trends, industry news, and competitor strategies, and proactively adapt marketing plans to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Work with contract developers to manage, update and create content for the SEO website.

Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional working teams and collaborate with program team members to translate their vision and goals into a robust communication plan that drives results.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks, allocate resources, communicate project timelines to key stakeholders, and meet deadlines.
  • Provide a high-touch client experience through dedicated touch points and transparent communications.
  • Determine KPI’s, and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, using data-driven insights to inform strategic adjustments and optimize results.
  • Act as the point of contact and liaison to external vendors, and support and staff events for students, participants, and partners, including coordinating photography and videography.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a nonprofit organization. Experience in career readiness programming and/or financial services is a plus.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field or equivalent years of work experience.
  • Working knowledge of email marketing, digital strategy, social media strategy, and basic public relations.
  • Proficiency in HubSpot (or similar platform), Microsoft Office, WordPress, Google applications, Canva. Adobe application skills and graphic design skills are plus.
  • Excellent project management, planning, prioritization, and organizational skills with the ability to execute projects through from conception to completion.
  • Must have experience working in shared services or client-facing position and effectively collaborating and leading working teams.
  • Direct experience developing creative campaigns and project plans and leveraging project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Basecamp) desired.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills; must be comfortable speaking to and engaging with a wide range of communities and through different avenues, including in-person, email, messaging platforms, video chats/conferencing, and phone calls.
  • Technical proficiency in standard workplace applications like Zoom and Box.
  • Direct experience with multicultural marketing is strongly preferred but not required. Must possess a deep curiosity and interest in culture and a pulse on trends, events, platforms, and thought leaders within the space.
