Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) manages best-in-class surface transportation programs for our internal and external customers. Connecting vendors, fulfillment centers, sort centers, air gateways, United States Postal Service (USPS) and final mile delivery stations. If a truck load needs to be moved, we deliver results. ATS team is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager who will act as the Single Threaded Leader (STL) for environmental operational excellence across Surface Transportation. This leader will be responsible for ensuring environmental strategy, operational tactics, and quality assurance by providing technical support for existing and forward-looking regulations. This is a critical role in which the ideal candidate is accustomed to working in a highly ambiguous environment with rapidly changing priorities due to external changes. This role may require travel up to 50%.
Key job responsibilities
• Define and execute working backwards plans and mechanisms to successfully implement a third-party (3P) Carrier Environmental Compliance Program across Surface Transportation.
• Optimize the existing carrier procurement and onboarding workflow, 3P controls, incentives, and accountability systems to commence an end-to-end solution for Air Quality compliance.
• Lead strategic and tactical efforts across NAST, MMPT, Legal, EAP and TRC teams by deploying carrier accountability mechanisms, risk-tailored resource allocation, and feedback collection.
• Develop carrier engagement campaigns to increase adoption, attestation, communication, and external training of current and forward-looking environmental regulations.
• Utilize risk assessments and compliance evaluations to lead continuous improvement initiatives which minimize environmental impacts. Communicate and implement regulatory compliance best practices across multiple VP Organizations.
• Define and track the metrics and goals needed to measure success across critical Environmental Assurance workstreams within the program
• Proactively identify gaps or blockers to the carrier experience; Propose solutions, and drive implementation across partner teams.
• Influence carrier leadership and Amazon technology teams to identify and drive process improvements that protect Amazon, our customers, and our communities

REQUISITOS BÁSICOS
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years’ experience in program or project management preferably in the Environmental Compliance space.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively influence leaders and stakeholders across different functional groups.
• Ability and interest in understanding and simplifying complex scenarios, and working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Strong judgment in balancing long-term strategic investments with near term business goals
• Strong analytical skills and comfortable in a data driven environment.
• High ownership, and ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment.
• Strong attention to detail and desire to work in a collaborative, dynamic and intellectually curious environment.
REQUISITOS DESEADOS
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Business Analytics / SQL experience.
• Experience in designing, implementing and managing operations of technical products or online services.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
