United Talent Staffing is currently recruiting a Litigation Paralegal for a respected mid-sized law firm in Charleston, WV. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, detail-oriented legal professional to join a collaborative legal team and contribute to complex litigation cases. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of the litigation process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and briefs
• Manage litigation files and maintain document control and calendaring of deadlines
• Conduct research, summarize medical and employment records, and prepare case timelines
• Prepare for depositions and trials, including creating exhibit and witness lists, binders, and summaries
• Support attorneys during trial proceedings and assist with general trial preparation
• E-file documents in state and federal courts
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and outside parties

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal required
• Familiarity with defense litigation and paralegal/attorney billing practices
• Strong knowledge of civil discovery process and court filing procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Windows 10 environment)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Paralegal Certificate preferred)
• 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex litigation support tasks
