JOB DESCRIPTION / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The ASB Bookkeeper of the High School will prepare all accounting entries for ASB accounts, reconcile and prepare financial statements for annual audit purposes, create and process purchase orders for High School ASB purchasing. The bookkeeper will receipt, reconcile and make daily deposits of revenue, keep track of budget expenditures and help develop ASB budget; balance and reconcile accounts with bank statements and with the District Central office, prepare monthly cash transmittals and prepare monthly status reports of accounts within the ASB. This position will also assist the Building Principal and maintain purchase cards and related documents. All duties of the position will be performed within the scope of Kiona-Benton City School District policies and procedures, including regular attendance and punctuality.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of and experience with all office software, including Word and Excel.
- Accounting background including experience in reconciling funds and accounts.
- Possess secretarial and office skills.
- Knowledge of government audit requirements.
- Capable of planning and organizing workload in order to meet deadlines.
- The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to:

13. Willing to attend mandatory annual training in ASB process and procedures.
SPECIFIC POSITION DETAILS:
Eight (8) hours per day/ Five (5) days per week / 205 days per year; Hours - 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
