Are you a seasoned IT professional with a passion for healthcare transformation? We’re seeking an experienced Healthcare Applications Manager to oversee the research, implementation, and optimization of clinical and administrative applications—playing a key role in advancing patient safety, operational efficiency, and user satisfaction at our Watertown, NY facility.
In this high-impact leadership role, you will manage a dynamic team including Analysts, Clinical Informatics Specialists, Programmers, and IS Educators. Your strategic vision and hands-on experience—particularly with Meditech systems ( a plus) —will drive innovation across departments while aligning IT capabilities with organizational goals.
Lead planning, implementation, training, and ongoing support for all enterprise applications.
Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to identify technology needs and recommend solutions that improve workflow and care quality.
Supervise a multidisciplinary applications team (Analysts, Informatics, Programming, IS Education).
Act as a trusted business consultant across hospital departments.
Oversee system upgrades, integration efforts, and user adoption strategies.
Maintain data integrity, system security, and regulatory compliance.
Champion staff education initiatives and best practices in system utilization.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare software implementation and support, with Meditech proficiency a plus, EHR required.
Proven leadership in managing application teams and IT projects in clinical environments.
Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Professional demeanor with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
High integrity, confidentiality, and accountability in all aspects of the role.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard business software.
