Job Description:

Serves as Operations, Growth and Technical Director within a dynamic and growing portfolio of programs within GDIT’s Federal Civilian division. Works in a fast-paced environment with a world class team that is applying emerging technologies for critical customer challenges. Manages and responsible for the successful execution, growth and technical guidance within assigned program areas with annual revenues of ~$25M. Demonstrated experience leading multiple teams and a track record for revenue and margin growth.

Responsibilities and skills include:

  • Strong technical skills in cloud, application development and emerging technologies
  • Leads and Manages multiple teams and is responsible for the successful execution of contractual requirements, including technical work and financial activities
  • Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate managers, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluations
  • Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems
  • Responsible for profitability and revenue growth of assigned programs in collaboration with a supporting Business Development team
  • Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits
  • Performs program financial management services, including financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, reconciliation, and profit enhancement
  • Coordinates and monitors sub-contractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables and finances
  • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents
  • Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested
  • Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.
  • Participates in special projects as required
  • Builds high performing teams and ensures program staffing priorities and objectives are met/exceeded
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending performance improvements.
  • Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business and operational information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes; Responsible for maintaining relevant program metrics.
  • Prior experience within or supporting agencies such as DOC (including USPTO and US Census), DOL, DOI and/or FCC.

Required qualifications include:

  • A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks along with an ability to offer and implement solutions to address these.
  • Technical acumen in cloud, application development and emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated experience bringing innovative IT solutions and ideas to customer missions, resulting in effective program execution and growth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and a head for problem solving
  • Strong leadership, Business acumen and proactive Customer service skills
  • Bachelor's degree and 20 years’ experience strongly preferred, in leadership roles or related experience leading a team of 60+ FTE
