Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in safeguarding Acron Aviation’s digital infrastructure and data assets. Based in either Grand Rapids, Michigan, or Saint Petersburg, Florida, this position requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, outsourced Security Operations Center (SOC) providers, Wizer Training & Phishing Simulation platform, Microsoft Intune compliance policies, and Microsoft Purview policies.

The Cybersecurity Analyst will actively monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats while collaborating with internal teams and external SOC vendors to ensure comprehensive protection against evolving security risks. Additionally, the analyst will oversee cybersecurity awareness initiatives using Wizer Training to educate employees and mitigate phishing risks, while managing compliance frameworks and data protection policies through Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Purview.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts using Microsoft Sentinel and other relevant tools to identify potential threats.
• Implement and manage endpoint protection solutions, including Microsoft Defender, to secure corporate devices and systems.
• Collaborate with outsourced SOC providers to ensure effective incident response, threat analysis, and forensic investigations.
• Manage the Wizer Training & Phishing Simulation platform to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and reduce phishing-related vulnerabilities.
• Develop, implement, and manage compliance policies using Microsoft Intune to ensure endpoint security adherence.
• Oversee Microsoft Purview policies to maintain data governance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management activities to identify and mitigate risks.
• Support the implementation of security controls and best practices throughout the organization.
• Participate in incident response activities, including root cause analysis and post-incident reporting.
• Provide training and guidance to employees and teams to promote cybersecurity awareness.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience working with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel in a professional setting.
• Familiarity with working alongside or managing outsourced SOC providers.
• Experience managing cybersecurity awareness platforms like Wizer Training & Phishing Simulation.
• Experience in managing compliance and data governance policies using Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Purview.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and threat landscapes.
• Experience in incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and network security solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
• Experience with NIST, ISO 27001, or other cybersecurity frameworks.
• Knowledge of aviation-specific cybersecurity challenges and threats.
