Full Cycle Bookkeeper
Qualifications
Experience
· Minimum 10 years of experience as a bookkeeper
Skills
· Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles (required)
· Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop, Excel and Microsoft Outlook (preferred)
· Excellent computer skills and ability to adapt to new software systems
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
· Ability to work unsupervised
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise diplomacy and discretion
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Strong communication skills
Language
· Proficient in oral and written English
Responsibilities
· Input of bills and expenses
· Employee time tracking
· Accounts payable
· Accounts receivable, including detailed project invoicing
· Payroll administration
· Group benefits coordination
· Provincial sales tax, GST, corporate tax, and source deduction remittances
· Workers’ compensation returns
· Monthly bank reconciliations
· Preparation of reports for management
· Fixed asset tracking
· Coordination with external accountant for year-end reporting
· General office duties including filing and answering phone calls
