Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant Phoenix Pro Connect is assisting a fast-growing CPA firm in Fort Lauderdale looking to expand their practice by adding a skilled Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant to their team. Job Description: We are seeking a knowledgeable accounting professional with a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting to support a dynamic and growing practice. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform after-the-fact monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting services, including client communication to complete tasks. Prepare and file sales tax returns on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Prepare and file payroll taxes on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including year-end tie-outs to tax returns. Handle workers' compensation and general liability audits as needed. Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as required. Respond promptly to IRS notices and ensure timely resolutions. Qualifications: At least 3+ years of accounting experience is required. Prior experience in public accounting is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification is a plus.
