Job Title : Biomedical Engineer Contract Duration : 3 Months Location : Falls Church, VA Work Type : Onsite. 3 pm - 11.30 pm (no patient facing) Job Description : The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for Preventative Maintenance and Repair of Medical Equipment. Provides the highest levels of customer service. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the service management system database. Manages the technical support of hardware and software of medical equipment/information systems in order to maintain continued patient monitoring and ensure the continued workings of the electronic interfaces from various devices to the electronic medical records systems. Installation, integration, and initial operation of the clinical & ancillary departments for the medical equipment environment. The Biomedical Engineer provides thorough analysis, timely resolution, and follow-up to problem issues, assigned tasks, and requests for special projects related to supporting the continued operations of patient care and business operations. Required Qualifications : 4 years of direct experience in Electronics, mechanical, clinical engineering, biomedical engineering, information technology, and network infrastructure. Experience in using an array of electronic/ medical test equipment and network analyzers. AA, BS or Equivalent Program completion or 7 years of directly related work experience. Completion of 2 vendor training courses or equivalent electronic, Information Technology/Information Systems experience. Use of multi-meter, safety analyzer, ESU analyzer, pressure meter, force dial, Defibrillator analyzers, and Patient simulator.
