TITLE: Audio Engineer DEPARTMENT: Production
JOB SUMMARY
The Audio Engineer serves as the primary audio engineer for all live events, worship services, broadcast events, and post-production projects. This position is responsible for all matters related to audio production and overall sound quality at BRAVE Church. This position oversees, leads and directs a team of audio related staff and volunteers for all live and broadcast events. This position requires a qualified individual with competencies in leadership, organization, team building, problem solving, self starting and collaboration.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the lead audio engineer for live events, broadcasts, and campuses
- Procure, install, manage, and maintain all audio equipment and systems
- Lead, train, and develop staff and volunteers in all areas of audio production
SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mix audio for post-production (videos, click-to-video, tracks, rebroadcast, etc.)
- Mix audio for special events (conferences, events, trainings, memorials, etc.)
- Assist in the creative planning process, design, and execution of major events
- Assist in the design, installation, and implementation of system integration projects
- Setup and breakdown of audio equipment, cables, patches, line check, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and ensuring proper function of all equipment
- Perform regular maintenance of equipment, troubleshoot and/or repair audio related equipment as problems and/or issues arise
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Proven skill, knowledge, and experience in live, broadcast, and post-production audio
- Proven ability operating a variety of analog and digital mixing consoles and managing audio in a variety of different venues
- Proven ability to mix and manage multiple channels of live and broadcast audio along with appropriate corrections to musicality, tonality, and dynamics
- Proven ability to recognize, troubleshoot, correct, and adjust frequency and harmonic issues, without delay, for live and broadcast events
- Experience and knowledge of live analog and digital consoles, Audinate Dante Audio networking products, Waves Soundgrid, ProTools, and digital audio workstations
QUALIFICATIONS
- A disciple who is passionate about advancing the gospel and sold out for the mission of BRAVE Church (kingdom-minded)
- Formal training or technical degree with certification; or equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 4+ years of worship and spoken word) preferred
- 3+ years of experience with technical equipment preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience in a variety of live production environments and venues
- Open to working an irregular schedule, including evenings and weekends, and providing on-call support and assistance outside of normal hours.

- Able to work and operate independently with minimal supervision and/or instruction

- Multi-site church production experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and meet tight deadlines

- Excellent administrative, managerial, organizational, and leadership skills with exceptional interpersonal competencies
